The room felt a bit cold during winter nights. Though there were heaters, they weren't quite enough to keep the chill at bay, leaving me bundled up in layers to stay warm. Breakfast hours wrapping up at 9 AM seemed a bit early, especially for a vacation vibe.

Unique hotel, fairly clean, with really kind and nice staff on request by the property chef. The rooms with twin beds and a drink and a large balcony. Marvellous and brilliant location - close to Herod's Gate...

modern en-suite, clean traditional edifice, quiet cul de sac
Numerous steps to the second floor make lugging bags a real hassle!!! The room felt a touch chilly, even with heaters, which might not be ideal for winter nights.

To the team at Azzahra Hotel .. Thanks. This little hotel not far from Herod's Gate is a gem. The service is second to none! I travelled through out Europe this past trip and stayed in some great places but this Arab run hotel in East Jerusalem was by far the most pleasant stay of all when consider value for money but also what I liked. This place deserves the reviews it gets. So 9 out of 10 from me.

I spent 5 nights in a Double Room, and it was fantastic! This place feels like a little oasis tucked away from the hustle. The restaurant serves amazing Palestinian dishes. The super nice team with tours. Highly recommended 😄

As a single woman traveling alone I felt very well taken care of here. The staff was kind and attentive. They were also extremely helpful when I lost my phone the night before. I ate dinner at the restaurant several nights and the food was very good.
The hotel is a short walk to the Old CIty. The neighborhood right around the hotel is not the best and I initially felt uncomfortable walking around alone. Once I got used to it it was fine.

Closeness to the main attractions. Great value for money. Friendly staff
The bathroom could do with an extractor fan as there's no window. Fridge needs inspecting as periodically makes noise

How it stacks up, my honest take
A wonderful, family-owned gem located just a leisurely stroll from the Old City. The modernized rooms are clean with comfy beds and quality linens. The standout feature? The restaurant serves not only good Middle Eastern dishes but also some of the best pizzas in town! Breakfast was generous and satisfying.
